What do you need on your computer to record a screencast?

Nearly any Mac or PC should work. The main requirement is the Java Runtime which is already installed on most desktop and laptop computers. The Java Runtime is the same requirement for many popular products like WebEx and GotoMeeting.

Screencasts can be viewed on nearly any computer. The main requirement is the Flash Player. Also, Screenr Business creates mobile versions that can be viewed on iPads, iPhones and Android devices.
